Sage 200 Project Accounting - Features
Configurable Terminology
Imagine how easy it would be for a business to adopt a new piece of software, if that software used terminology that you and your employees already understand? Sage 200 Project Accounting has been designed to do just this. For example, out-of-the-box Sage 200 Project Accounting uses terminology such as "Projects" "Project Cost Items" and "Customers". However, these can be easily amended to reflect more company-specific terminology; e.g. "Job".
Project Settings
Sage 200 Project Accounting has been designed to offer an impressive range of features and functionality to cater for businesses who require differing ranges of project costing, from simple to complex. However, if your business doesn't need all the advanced functionality that Sage 200 Project Accounting can offer - then you can simply switch those options off!
Sage 200 Project Accounting integrates seamlessly with the other Sage 200 modules including Financials, Commercials and Payroll. This allows you to allocate and view transactions in your Sales, Purchase, Nominal, Stock Control, Sales Order Processing and Purchase Order Processing modules to your projects. Therefore taking away the requirement for any re-keying of information.
Create simple or detailed project structures
Sage 200 Projects can be mapped to your business structure and include phases, cost items, or if required another project can be built in as a sub-project of the main one. Furthermore budgets can be assigned to each level of your projects to help monitor progress.
Timesheet Entry
With Sage 200 Project Accounting you can now record and process timesheet and expense claims for your employees. These can be entered manually within the Project Accounting module, Imported from Sage Payroll or alternatively via our Web "Time and Expenses" Module.
Nominal Journals for Project Accounting
Two new journal adjustment screens have been added in order to account for additional production costs, make adjustments to postings or to track any project expenses.
Analyse Purchase Orders and Returns to Projects
The item line of your purchase order, whether it is a standard stock item or a non-stock item (e.g. free text) can be allocated to a project.
Furthermore, if your projects are off-site you can specify that stock associated with a project should be delivered direct to site.
Billing
With Sage 200 Project Accounting, you can automatically generate suggested bills. Suggested billing allows you to decide what to bill and when, giving you total control over what sales invoices for your projects are produced.
Sage 200 Project Accounting - Web Time & Expenses Module
What is Web Time & Expenses?
Sage 200 Web Time & Expense (WTE) is an optional module that you can add to the Sage 200 Project Accounting module. Users can enter their time and expenses remotely, via a web interface. The entries will then be synchronised back into Project Accounting for approval and inclusion into a project.
Entries can be made over an intranet, or securely via the Web.
Cost Effective Time & Expense Recording...
This cost effective module allows your people to enter Time and Expenses only, and therefore you won't need to licence them as full Sage 200 users. Only the people who process the timesheets, and anyone who authorises expenses, need to have Sage 200 on their PC.
Unrivalled Flexibility
You can add as many users as you like to the WTE module; this is done on a named user basis since each WTE user is a named resource within the Sage 200 Project Accounting module. If you need to add different people, no problem - either substitute them for existing named people no longer using the system, or add new users.
