The client
The Greenhouse People are a Midlands based, family run business that have been successfully running for 30 years.
They strongly believe in helping their customers find the right greenhouse and accessories. Supplying and delivering throughout the UK, Ireland and France, they pride themselves on their extensive range of products.
The Greenhouse People were aware that due to the ongoing growth of their business, their existing system, Sage 50, was starting to feel the strain and would inevitably require a more bespoke solution in future.
Greater financial control
The challenge
They were keen to find a system with greater functionality and capacity. They needed a solution that was more flexible and would support their manufacturing processes.
Some of their key requirements were: stock management, accurate material forecasting, batch and serial number traceability, ability to respond quickly to orders and achieve precise delivery dates. Sage 200 for manufacturing was exactly what they needed.
From a business perspective, it made far more sense to get the new solution in place at an earlier stage, rather than waiting until their existing system went “beyond bursting point”.
After contacting a number of software providers they were impressed to find our consultants offered expertise and most importantly “listened” to what was needed.
Attending our annual customer day, Solutions Showcase, enabled them to meet the Solutions team which confirmed their decision that Solutions were the “right company to go with.” Customer Day also gave them the opportunity to gain an insight into future Sage developments, CRM offerings and third party vendors
The outcome
Since the smooth implementation of Sage 200, incorporating Financials, Commercials and Manufacturing, The Greenhouse People now run a system that can effectively manage the size of their data and number of users, as well as supporting their manufacturing processes.
