Our Fixed Assets add-on for Sage 50 is the ideal choice if you are dealing with a large quantity of assets and want to write them off at different times.
Within Sage 50, the process of writing off an asset will do just that, write off the entire asset, and the system won’t allow you to split it into individual components. This means that you would need to create a new asset for each segment adding time-consuming steps to your work process.
Our Fixed Assets module recreates the standard Fixed Asset creation functionality found in Sage 50, but with the important addition of a quantity element. This way, if you have a number of assets, you can create one fixed asset for all of them.
During the disposal process, you can select a number of components to be disposed of while keeping the rest of the fixed asset. The add-on will then post a disposal/write-off journal for the disposed components within the fixed asset. It will also update the figures in the Fixed Asset record to reflect the change.
