As we move into 2023 there is a challenging economic backdrop facing retailers around the world with the UK set to enter a recession that lasts a year, as predicted by the Bank of England in August 2022.
Such an environment is not conducive to high levels of discretionary spending among British consumers – and retailers will be hard pushed to encourage them to part with their cash –but other markets around the globe face economic crises of their own.
That said, with ecommerce in the UK making up 25.3% of total UK retail sales, businesses need to drive efficiencies and leverage the maximum potential from their eFulfilment processes.
Datalinx eFulfilment is a fast pick, pack and automatic courier interface system that reduces the time taken to process orders from pick through to despatch. The extensive picking options enables orders to be picked in the most efficient manner, with specialist routines for single line, single item orders, to ‘wave picking’ of multiple customer orders plus there are picking routines for items that don’t require additional packaging, only address and courier labelling.
What could you achieve with extra hours every day? Save 5 minutes on every order shipped.
Pick - Patch - Despatch
Time saved processing each order builds up and can return hours to the business that can be used to increase order output or benefit other areas of the business.
In today’s efulfilment world of minimum time from order to dispatch, it is critical to have fast pick, pack, and despatch routines together with simple but accurate “order status” details. Accurate information minimises errors that are costly in staff and management time to correct.
With the right product and quantity packed, then booked with a shipping carrier in less time, more orders can be processed with the same staff.
Who is the typical customer?

How does eFulfilment work?
Driven within the application from a configurable “Orders Pool”. The status and progress of all orders can be monitored and managed with staff directed to tasks in the most efficient manner for the business.
The eFulfilment Portal facilitates at the touch of a button functionality to efficiently pack multi-box orders with a manifest of the contents of each box. Orders are printed, enclosed with a despatch note and returns label, then booked into the chosen courier and labelled with optional shipping label and/or courier labels.
All of which can be completed in seconds with the last step updating the ‘Orders Pool’ time and date status to ‘awaiting collection.’
The benefits of eFulfilment
Achieve extra hours every day. eFulfulment saves time with paperwork and courier bookings completed 5 minutes quicker on every order.
Which adds up during the day, enabling you to process and book in more orders every day or complete other tasks.
