International Women’s Day, it may seem like a modern idea, but it has a history harking all the way back to 1910. For more than a century, the day has been an opportunity to highlight women’s issues and champion the exceptional women who make all of our lives better.
Women play a significant role in all our success at Solutions. They’re key to the high-quality service we work towards providing you. From ‘9 to 5’, our talented female developers, consultants, salespeople (and many other essential roles), all help shape our business.
After all, when you think of the term ‘9 to 5’, who is the first person that comes to mind? I think for a lot of people it’s a woman, namely the blonde, buxom, and incredibly positive Queen of Country music, Dolly Parton.
So, this International Women’s Day, why not consider taking a moment to discover four sage pieces of wisdom from the Backwoods Barbie? And discover how they relate to the pivotal work the women in our team do, as they help drive our continued success.
1. “Energy begets energy”
Simply put, Dolly is saying that positivity is infectious. If you approach your work with positive energy or if you work with others in a positive manner, it’ll likely inspire them to do the same.
At Solutions, we’re lucky to have some motivational women leading our various departments, such as:
- Amanda Duffy, our Head of HR and Administration
- Anna Root, our Head of Sage Intacct Operations
- Nicola Saville, our Head of Sales
- Leonie Williams, our Head of Business Operations
- Georgia Foster, our Head of Marketing.
Their expert skills, knowledge, and driven approach to their work filters down through our team and helps inspire everyone at Solutions to strive towards reaching new heights.
The positive energy they use to galvanize their departments helps ensure that the support and services you receive are delivered at the highest standard possible.
To take another page out of Dolly’s book of wisdom:

As with the traditional idiom (but perhaps with a bit more glitter), it means to do everything possible to find something or to solve a potential problem. At Solutions, problem solving is in our name.
Our Support Team helps you fix potential problems and guides you towards the right answers

None of that would be possible if it wasn’t for the important women in the support department, including:

Our Customer Success Team ensures any issues you may be facing are addressed
Communication is absolutely key to any successful business or business relationship.
Our Customer Success Team helps us to effectively address any issues you might be facing and keeps us informed about the returns you’re getting from your software investment. So, we can work confidently in the knowledge that your best interests are constantly being met.
Thankfully the wonderful Jenny Taylor (Customer Success Team Leader), Sarah Rydel (Customer Success Manager), and Jody Kendall (Customer Success Manager) are there to help you along every step of your ongoing journey.
