1. Travel to Paris for Europe’s most iconic Easter egg hunt
As one of the world’s most visited cities, there is always plenty to do for both children and parent’s alike in the city of art and culture. Yet, the Eiffel Tower and Notre-Dame might have to wait, as Paris is also home to one of the world’s most famous Easter egg hunts.
Hosted at Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte to the southeast of the city, this popular egg hunt is set against the backdrop of a beautiful French Château with expansive grounds and stunning architecture.
The team at the Château go to great lengths to entertain children and grown-ups alike during the Easter weekend, hiding thousands of chocolates across their 33-hectare landscaped garden.
Hunts are divided up by different age groups to keep festivities fair and to avoid any tantrums. There are even hunts for teenagers that involve treasure maps and riddles to solve.
Don’t worry about feeling left out though, as the Château even accommodates adults with a love for a good old fashioned treasure hunt. There are gold squirrels hidden across the grounds that will win the lucky adults that find them extra special prizes.

Easter in Corfu is full of drama and excitement. The highlight being the traditional pot throwing ceremony that takes place on Holy Saturday. Locals will throw ceramic pots off balconies to symbolise the renewal of life and the banishment of evil spirits.
The entire island comes to life over the weekend with music, street parades, and market feasts. It is truly a magical way to spend your Easter break with the family.
3. Take in the Austrian charm at Kitzbühel’s ski resort
If the sand isn’t your cup of tea, you might want to consider a trip to Austria’s snowy slopes. Kitzbühel in the Austrian Alps offers a charming mix of traditional Austrian architecture and traditions, with modern family-friendly skiing.
The village’s ski resort is known to maintain its snow year-round, despite a relatively low base elevation. At Easter, the village celebrates with a traditional Easter market, where families can enjoy local Austrian cuisine, crafts, and sweet treats.

Every Easter, Prague transforms, as it becomes draped in colourful and vibrant ribbons, wreaths, and hanging Easter decorations.

A trip to Europe isn’t for everyone, so why not consider staying closer to home and enjoying one of the UK’s many Easter celebrations?

Alternatively, you may want to escape the city altogether and embrace the UK’s natural wonders. Spring is bluebell season across the UK and many of our national parks will turn a vivid deep violet-blue colour.

- A Dark Sky Park, free from light pollution, that could allow you to stargaze under the clear night sky
- One of the National Trust’s many beautiful locations, and perhaps enjoy a camping trip.
