George Dennis, who joined the Solutions team last October as an Apprentice Support Technician, picked up the ‘Nottinghamshire’s Apprentice of the Year’ award at a glittering black tie ceremony at the prestigious Colwick Hall on Friday evening.
He was nominated after impressing our senior management team with his positive attitude, willingness to learn and regularly going above and beyond company expectations.
Managing Director, Iain Barker said:
“From day one at Solutions, George stood out. We didn’t have an official position for him when he was hired, but we saw something special in him during his interview and couldn’t let the talent and drive for success that became apparent when talking to him slip through our fingers.
He is a fantastic apprentice who has grasped the opportunity we have given him with both hands, so this award is very well-deserved. We have an active apprenticeship programme with an annual intake, and many of our key members of staff started with us as apprentices and have worked their way up the business into more senior roles. George is the latest in a long line of apprentice success stories and the whole team here is delighted that he has won.”
