Much like a living document, Cim200 is constantly being updated and improved to ensure your software is always suited to modern and up-to-date challenges and needs. There have been two major updates announced for 2025, which will be released in February and August this year.

3 important new features have been added to Cim200 in the 2025 R1 update
1. Available-to-Promise (ATP) could help greatly improve communication with your customers
ATP is a key business function that provides customers with a clear response to order enquiries regarding existing stock availability and when out-of-stock items should be available again.
Cim200’s ATP feature uses the data and demand input into your Cim200 system to help identify the earliest date a product can be available for a customer. This occurs in real-time during the initial order/quote entry process.
In the fast-paced world of modern manufacturing, it is essential that you stay ahead of your customers’ needs and expectations. It could be the difference maker that allows you to boost sales and improve customer satisfaction.
It is likely to make both your customers’ lives and your own simpler and easier. Customers won’t have to worry about missing out on their desired purchases, while you won’t risk missing out on potential sales due to a lack of inventory.

2. SFDC – Stocktake aims to improve efficiency within your business
Cim200’s SFDC module is designed to utilise the speed, efficiency, and power of barcodes to provide you with the ability to process a range of stock and operational transactions.
SFDC – Stocktake, or Stocktake for short, allows you to undertake quick and comprehensive stock counts across your business. Using barcodes, your staff can:
- Scan items
- Log the correct quantity
- Enter the information into your system.
This should help you quickly identify potential stock issues or mismanagement – and importantly reduce costly stock losses.
It should be noted that the SFDC updates won’t be live until early April 2025.
3. SFDC – Goods Receipt simplifies deliveries
Maintaining a true understanding of the dispatch and delivery of goods into your business is a vital step in ensuring maximum efficiency and reducing any potentially costly errors.
Cim 200’s new SFDC – Goods Receipt feature aims to provide you with greater oversight of the deliveries coming into your business.
Goods Receipt allows your staff to scan the barcodes of goods entering your business upon receipt from your chosen suppliers. They can simply scan the corresponding Purchase Order (PO) followed by item barcodes before logging it into your system.
This allows for a clear record of goods arriving into your business and a measure of accountability when looking into potential issues.
As with SFDC – Stocktake, SFDC – Goods Receipt won’t be available until early April 2025.
3 changes to existing features that should improve your user experience
1. Works Orders has been modified with functions tweaked to give you more control
Works Orders is an essential module within Cim200 that helps you control production, monitor work-in-progress (WIP), and oversee your capacity of resources accurately.
It is a vital tool that has been improved and fine-tuned with the latest update.
Works Orders has two useful changes within sub-assemblies, and allocation and issue.
Information regarding sub-assemblies can now be added when raising Works Orders ensuring there’s an accurate record of all the steps and processes required.
Meanwhile, you’re now also able to allocate or issue Works Orders directly from the Works Orders record.
These exciting updates are likely to give you greater control and oversight over any ongoing or future work.
2. Stock Control now allows for greater detail to be included in your records
Efficient stock control is an essential part of many well-organised and profitable businesses. Cim200’s Stock Control can assist you with:
- Keeping up with demand
- Meeting customer expectations
- Avoiding unforeseen issues in your supply chain
- Reducing losses related to missing or damaged stock.
The v2025 R1 update introduces three changes to Stock Control.
You can now:
- Add unique customer descriptions for each item within the customer stock code function
- Write off rejected stock in quarantine or transfer it to another quarantine holding location
- Monitor supplier performance with the new On Time In Full (OTIF) performance metrics and reporting.

3. Planning now offers increased oversight of your processes
The Planning module is a great tool for gaining a greater oversight of your business and its key processes, allowing you to make beneficial changes and updates, quickly and efficiently.
