Cash management gets a boost with Cash Requirements and expanded currency support, helping organisations gain visibility into expected cash flow needs and plan with confidence.
Maximise efficiency
Approval workflows are now more granular with line-level approvals for Purchasing (Early Adopter, coming soon), letting you approve, reject or route individual lines within a purchase order or requisition. This ensures greater control and faster processing.
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable also see smarter automation: AP Automation now includes line-level matching to flag discrepancies in supplier documents, while predictive tax details reduce manual data entry errors.

Construction & projects made easier
Organisations managing projects and construction can now benefit from Work Order Management and the Work Order dimension, allowing service-related work orders to be handled at scale. Flexible retainage release also simplifies accounts receivable processes, while Work in Progress (WIP) management provides early-adopter access to monitor project completion and costs with greater precision.
For project-driven businesses, the Manage Projects feature streamlines updates across multiple projects simultaneously, and integration with Fixed Assets Management ensures accurate tracking of Construction in Progress (CIP) assets.
Streamlined reporting and reconciliation
The new GL account reconciliations streamline reconciliations by matching offsetting debit and credit entries, while Enhanced Dynamic Allocations allow flexible allocation of account balances across dimensions without altering the overall figures.
Users can also leverage Sage Intacct Planning enhancements, making budgeting faster and more flexible. And for tax compliance, support for the Republic of Ireland tax solution simplifies VAT reporting across borders.
Optimised user experience
Sage Intacct 2026 R1 brings numerous usability improvements: updated user interfaces in Consoles and WIP Management, browser-based help for full navigation functionality, and the AI-powered import agent, which lets you transform, map and clean data with natural language prompts before importing into Intacct.
