The New Sage 50 Accounts includes some great new features as well as a new look and feel.
What's new in this release?
New user interface
The changes made make it easier to navigate between ledgers and to find the tasks you want to carry out. There is a navigation pane on the left which gives one click access to all ledgers, wherever you are in the software.
Sage have also introduced a new dynamic toolbar, so that regardless of your window size you always see all of the tasks in each ledger in one place. The result of these changes is a user interface that is simple, uncluttered and customisable.
Backup manager
Creating regular backups of your data in Sage 50 is good practice and protects the integrity of your date.
Until now, creating backups has been a manual routine but we’ve introduced a new Backup manager with the following benefits:
- Schedule regular unattended check data and back up routines.
- Check your data and back up while users are still logged in to the software.
- Manage back ups for all companies through a single console.
- View users logged in to any companies
Inactive accounts
If you have customers, suppliers or products that you no longer work with on a regular basis, you can now mark the records as inactive to hide them from your list views.
This helps you find the information you need more quickly and reduce the possibility of processing errors. You can easily switch accounts between active and inactive with a new check box.
Windows selection method
In direct response to customer feedback, you can now choose how you want to select multiple records in a list.
You can use the existing Sage accounts methods of clicking individual records, or you can use a Windows style selection method of selecting multiple records using mouse clicks in conjunction with the shift and Ctrl keys.
Access rights refresh
We’ve simplified the options for controlling access to the various components of the software. It’s easy to add new users, removed users, allow or remove access to modules in the software and copy access rights from one user to another.
Shortcut keys
If you prefer to use your keyboard to navigate around the software, there are a number of keyboard shortcuts that you can use. To view the shortcuts in the software, hold down the Alt key. To use a shortcut, hold down the Alt key and press the key for the option you require.
