1. Sales Orders now provides you with full picking functionality
You can now provide more information when raising your initial sales orders with the addition of full picking functionality. The Sales Order module now allows you to create picking lists and allocate stock (including traceable batches and serial numbers).
Once an order has been picked, it can be amended as necessary or converted directly to a sales order ready for processing. This ensures that stock is correctly allocated to new sales orders and remains available when the order is ready to dispatch.
This added functionality has been incorporated into both the core Cim50 solution and its Shop Floor Data Capture (SFDC) module.
2. Stock adjustments now allow you to make multiple changes simultaneously
Making stock adjustments within Sage 50 is now quicker and simpler than ever before thanks to this latest update in the Cim50 add-on.
The new multiple item stock adjustment screen allows you to do just that – update multiple stock lines simultaneously.
All the Cim50 manual adjustment options are available in this screen, allowing you to:
- Adjust in
- Adjust out
- Transfer stock
- Quarantine stock
- Issue stock to a project
- Return stock from a project.
This update will provide beneficial time savings through reducing manual steps in your stock processes.
3. Trial Kit allows you to review availability of components for multiple manufactured items on a Sales Order
Gaining greater visibility of your manufacturing processes is an essential step in streamlining your business and improving its overall productivity.
Trial Kit helps you to achieve this goal by allowing you to review the availability of stock for any manufactured items on a Sales Order. Trial Kit quickly determines your current component availability for every manufactured item on your sales order, including multiple orders at the same time.
This will provide you with a clear picture of any potential obstacles, such as stock shortages that may delay product assembly, and might hinder the dispatch of an order.
4. Scheduler Ad-hoc Bookings helps you assess how maintenance and staff levels could affect production schedules
You can gain a more thorough oversight of your production scheduling with Scheduler Ad-hoc Bookings, which allows you to take in considerations, such as:
Machine maintenance
Routine servicing and checks
Staff holidays and sickness.
You can create ad-hoc bookings for a machine or labour resource. The information will then be included in the Scheduler and considered when highlighting resource utilisation or potential clashes.
It can also help you to book machine maintenance and servicing, as well as staff holidays, at opportune times as to minimise the impact on your production schedule.
5. The Shop Floor Data Capture (SFDC) module now has the ability to make manual adjustments

Cim50’s SFDC now gives you the ability to manually adjust stock in, or out, of the system on an ad-hoc basis.
You can also automatically allocate completed goods from Works Order to Sales Orders using the SFDC module. Conversely, when receiving Purchase Orders, you can allocate those received goods to Works Orders.
The SFDC system can now also deal with orders which have multiple duplicate items present, and where multiple items have common batch or serial numbers.
6. Bill of Materials (BOM) has several important updates that boost its functionality
The BOM module is designed to help you boost profitability with an accurate ongoing costing history.
The latest update adds several new features to help, including:
- The ability to define component scrap values as a quality or percentage
- Warnings when adding a sub-assembly item to an in-progress BOM
- A view only option within resource registers
- Search and select functions for stock codes when creating new BOMs, eliminating the need to memorise codes.
These changes should allow you to gain greater detail across your BOMs, which will help you to boost your profits.
7. Works Orders has new features, including the ability to import timesheets
The Works Orders module allows you to manage production processes, work-in-progress (WIP), and resource capacity with confidence.
The 2025 Cim50 update, has added a few new features to improve the module’s core functions.
When partially completing an order, and marking the order as complete, you can now reverse issue unused WIP components back to stock.
Furthermore, you can now retrospectively hard link Purchase Order lines to Works Orders with Planning, so that you ensure that stock is reserved for a Works Order when it is received.
Cim50 has also added a new quantity scrapped column to the Works Orders components list, when amending or viewing an order. This enables you to quickly see if items have had any component scrap processed against them.
Finally, Works Orders can now import your timesheets from Excel into Sage 50 using the Cim50 add-on.
