That’s why we created Cim200, a flexible solution that works the way your business works. It integrates directly with Sage 200 Professional and provides lots of advanced manufacturing functionality.
In February, we released Cim200 v2023. This update contains several highly requested features as well as multiple enhancements. So, in this blog we’re going to outline 3 of the new features and how they can help improve your business’ workflows…
3 of the New Features Included in Cim200 v2023
1. Base items - one to many Works Orders
With Cim200, base items are designed to provide multiple outputs from a works order.
For example, let’s say that you are a chemicals manufacturer and are mixing chemicals together to make a solution (base item). You then package the solution into multiple different sized containers.
Cim200 base item functionality allows you to output those multiple stocked items from a single works order, handling the different costs and stock movements for each size container and any other associated packaging, ensuring accurate stock levels and costings whilst speeding up data entry time by processing from a single works order.
Comparing this scenario to similar manufacturing systems, assuming you stocked the item in 3 different sizes, you would need 4 works orders to achieve the same result as Cim200. The first works order would be a sub-assembly for the base solution, then you would need to process 3 works orders for each of the 3 stocked items. This is just one example of the efficiency savings you can make by switching to Cim200.
2. Configurable quotations
Included in our Cim200 v2023 release is our new Configurable Quotation functionality. This feature enables you to “configure” a quotation item.
What does configuring a quotation item mean?
Configuring a quotation item allows you to create a Bill of Material specific to that item on the quote. You can configure a brand new one-off Bill of Material from scratch, or you can configure an existing Bill of Material and tweak it to suit the quotation you’re working on. Once you’ve completed the configuration you can calculate the costs to manufacture the item being quoted, set mark-up or profit margin targets to calculate an accurate selling price.
Utilise the new quantity break functionality to provide your customers with discounted pricing for higher order quantities, with the system calculating the costs for each quantity break in real-time, ensuring you maximise your profit margins.
Once the quotation has been won, generate a Works Order directly from the quote to the specification defined in the configuration. This functionality extends to Free Text Quote lines, allowing you to manufacture truly “one-off” products without the need to create stock items.
3. Advanced traceability enquiry
Building on existing functionality, in Cim200 v2023 you have full visibility of the whole lifecycle of a traceable item from a single enquiry screen. The new advanced traceability enquiry enables you to easily drill down on any movement carried out against the traceable item. From purchase orders through to manufacturing and on to despatch and invoicing. The enquiry screen allows you to carry out multi-dimensional enquiries, giving you the flexibility to easily trace all movements of an item whatever information you have available.
